I do, and I am going to start sharing these prayers for I feel they should once again be prayed.

God Bless you all my fellow Catholics may the Holy Spirit guide you to help others.

God Bless,

PRAYERS TO OUR BLESSED LORD

Abandonment to Our Lord

Lord Jesus, let me know myself and know Thee

And desire nothing apart from Thee

Let me hate myself  and love Thee

Let me do everything for Thy sake

Let me humble myself and exalt Thee

Let me think nothing except of Thee

Let me die to myself and live in Thee

Let me accept whatever happens as from Thee

Let me banish self and follow Thee

And ever desire to follow Thee

Let me fly from myself and take refuge in Thee

That I may deserve to be defended by Thee

Let me fear for myself, let me fear Thee

And let me be among those who are chosen by Thee

Let me distrust myself and put my trust in Thee

Let me be willing to obey for the sake of Thee

Let me cling to nothing save only to Thee

And let me be poor because of Thee

Look upon me, that I may love Thee

Call me that I may see Thee

And for ever enjoy Thee, Amen!

The Great Obummer Schism

Posted by Heather on June 8, 2011 at 8:31 AM Comments comments (2)

The Great Modernist Schism of the 21st Century

I have done a great deal of researching on the net, and by email and discussions with conservative bishops and priests that I deem to be trustworthy and the future for the Catholic Faith in America is startling! (CINO's = Catholics In Name Only) Unless we stop the CINO's / Liberal Catholic Theology/ Cafeteria Catholics We may suffer the worst schism in Catholic History!

The Great Modernist Schism in the Catholic Church will most probably occur sometime between 2011 and 2020. It's ironic that this time period will mark the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Schism in Europe. However, the Great Modernist Schism of the 21st century will be much bigger than anything the Catholic Church has experienced in the last millennium. The closest thing that could compare would be the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/  ArianismArian schism of the 4th century, in which at one time there were actually more Arians than Catholics. This Modernist schism may not likely be that big, but it will be comparable.

The players in this schism are primarily in the United States, though Europe will most certainly have a significant influence as well. However, since the founding of Catholic Christianity in the Americas five-hundred years ago, there has not been a significant schism on these shores. That is about to change. The United States leads the way and will be the principle player in this latest (and possibly final) schism of the worldwide Catholic Church. European countries such as Austria, Germany, France and England may also play a significant (but supportive) role to the primarily American led schism. The highest principle player is the http://usccb.org United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, which has for years been duped into supporting liberal causes and has generally been a very weak advocate of the traditional Catholic faith. The USCCB, as it is called, will ultimately play a sucker role as it will continue to be inadvertently used to promote the very schism that will ultimately tear it apart. Behind the scenes is a subversive player called the American Catholic Council http://americancatholiccouncil.org. This is a liberal front group, designed to rally dissident Catholics in the years ahead in what may become direct opposition to the USCCB and the Vatican. In the opinion of this blogger, the American Catholic Council http://americancatholiccouncil.org will most likely serve to replace the USCCB as THE primary consulting body for the majority of US Catholic parishes. The stated goals of the American Catholic Council are taken from their own website here http://americancatholiccouncil.org/declaration, and are listed below in black. My commentary is in blue...
  • We seek a Church that is inclusive, compassionate, trustworthy, and representative. (It sounds nice, but the key word here is "representative." This is code for ecclesiastical democracy. These people want to be able to "elect" their leaders, perhaps even their priests or bishops. I suspect that the term "inclusive" in this context may be a reference to female clergy.)
  • We seek a Church that actively listens to the Spirit in its people and that worships and evangelizes in the fullness of that inspiration. (Again, this is code for a Church that tells the people what they want to hear, rather than what they need to hear.)
  • We seek a Church that addresses the spiritual hunger of all Catholics, including marginalized and former Catholics. (The term "marginalized Catholics" is code for dissident Catholics, meaning those who oppose the teachings of the Catholic Church.)
  • We seek to multiply the bread of the Eucharist so that a malnourished Catholic Community can encounter Christ with all the healing power of his sacramental presence through the preservation of parish community and a radically inclusive theology of ministry. (The term "radically inclusive theology" in relation to the Eucharist is almost universally recognized in religious circles as acceptance of homosexuality. The term "multiply the bread of the Eucharist" is a way of saying that communion should be open to all, Catholics and non-Catholics alike, and especially those who oppose the Church's teaching on Christian sexual ethics.)
  • We seek reform of the governing structures in our Church so that they reflect the better aspects of the American experience: a democratic spirit, concern for human rights, freedom of speech and assembly, and a tradition of participation and representation. (Once again, this summarizes the above stated goals of changing the structure of Catholic parishes, and perhaps even dioceses, into a democracy, where leaders are elected based on what the people want to hear, rather than what they need to hear, making room for dissidents to become leaders and the Church's moral teachings to become subject to collective opinion.)
Further investigation of this group's website will reveal latent influence by homosexual and radical feminist sub-groups. The collective gathering of various dissident Catholic sub-groups, under one umbrella organization, can only spell a recipe for schism. The first meeting of the American Catholic Council http://americancatholiccouncil.org is scheduled for June 10-12 of 2011. I expect more will follow.

The next big player in the Great Modernist Schism is none other than evil  False President and agent of satan barack hussein obama who lied cheated and produced a forged certificate of live birth. This liberal evil False American president has been playing the weakness of the US Catholic Church for a political angle. He knows this will be one of the largest organizations standing against his reelection campaign in 2012, and therefore in order to crack its influence over Catholic voters the organization itself must be cracked. To do this Obama has systematically been taking advantage of liberal dissidents within the US Catholic Church, by appointing as many of these dissidents as possible to the highest offices of the land. Simultaneously, obummer has accepted invitations to be awarded with honors at various dissident Catholic organizations around the nation - including the University of Notre Dame (which broke Catholic Canon Law By giving obummer an award) in Indiana of which I am a graduate of and deeply ashamed of. These public acts create confusion among the general Catholic population in the United States, presenting the image of a divided Catholic Church, which is EXACTLY what this evil president wants. One prime example is Harry Knox as a key member of his Faith-based Advisory Council, a anti God openly homo bigot! Knox said he stood by a statement he made last year that Pope Benedict XVI is “hurting people in the name of Jesus” because the pope does not support promoting the use of condoms as a means to stop the spread of HIV. That is pure blasphemy! Homo Knox also said: "the Catholic Church had committed an act that was “immoral and insulting  to Jesus” when it denied Communion to a lesbian couple in Wyoming who had promoted same-sex marriage". I could scream!

Another statement he made that had my husband so enraged and angy, in all my life I had never seen my husband so furious was : In addition to the hateful comments he made about the Pope and his Bishops, Knox has also denounced the Knights of Columbus http://www.rightpundits.com/?p=3700 , a Catholic fraternal service organization, as being ‘foot soldiers of a discredited army of oppression’.  HOW DARE HE!!!! You wonded why my husband and I address obummer as evil scum and agent of satan? Is this not doing the bidding of satan?

I also want to mention here obummer's appointment of Miguel H. Diaz, Ambassador to the Vatican. He is a strong proponent of the necessity of the Church to become deeply and broadly multi-cultural [I guess we need priestesses to be more multi-cultural], to recognize and appreciate the role that culture plays in a living faith [sounds too much like a living, breathing constitution]. Born in Havana, Cuba [Being born in Havana, Cuba is a good start in asserting communism into the Catholic Faith maybe even an operative of Castro's.], he is sadly a leading Hispanic theologian in United States.” That just wreaks of Liberal Catholicism! Mr. Diaz is a Rahner scholar, please allow me to explain those not famililar with Rahner, it was Rahner's work that sadly led in part to the Vatican II reforms Karl Rahner was a German Catholic Theologian born in (March 5, 1904 — March 30, 1984 Before the Second Vatican Council, Rahner had worked alongside Yves Congar, Henri de Lubac and Marie-Dominique Chenu, theologians associated with an emerging school of thought called the Nouvelle Théologie, elements of which had been condemned in the encyclical Humani Generis of Pope Pius XII.

Rahner was a critic of substance theory and was concerned about the finality of liturgy. He proposed instead to re-name transubstantiation into transfinalization. However, this theory was rejected as heretical by Pope Paul VI in the encyclical Mysterium Fidei. Now allow me to explain, "heritical" meaning departure from accepted beliefs or standards, so in fact he was a heritic which means, a person who holds religious beliefs in conflict with the dogma of the Roman Catholic Church, having prefaced that, Diaz is a student disciple of a heritic of the Catholic Faith. In essence evil obama hired a student (Miguel H. Diaz) of a heritic catholic theologian ( Karl Rahner)  to be ambassador to the Vatican, proof positive of obummer trying to create a schism in the Catholic Faith and play the race card to get latino votes.

The final big player in this Great Modernist Schism is none other than the mainstream news media fueling the sex-abuse scandal in the Catholic Church and forming public opinion about it. Though statistics indicate that sexual abuse of minors and subsequent cover up is no higher in the Catholic Church than any other denomination or religious organization, the mainstream news media continues to focus it's spotlight on Rome. There is a reason for this and it is intentional. Because the Catholic Church is the largest Christian Church in the world, and because the players in the mainstream news media hate Christianity in general, it only makes sense to attack the largest Christian organization first. The idea is to bring down the big boys, and then watch the little boys run for cover. Strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter. Destroy the Catholic Church, and all of the smaller Christian denominations will head for the hills. It will be much easier to take down the smaller Christian denominations once the largest is crippled. The United States is now leading the charge against the Vatican by allowing an illegal lawsuit to go forward that would implicate the Vatican (and the pope himself) as responsible for sexual abuse by Catholic priests in the United States. This is under the ridiculous notion that the Vatican acts as an "employer" to these abusive priests. The premise of the lawsuit is absurd and has no basis in reality or common law but nevertheless the lawsuit will go forward, and the ensuing media flurry that will surround it will only bolster the position of dissident Catholics. It is highly unlikely the Vatican will win the lawsuit against it, even though the Vatican is right and the lawsuit is baseless. This is because public opinion of the Catholic Church has been so soured over the years by relentless reporting of sex-abuse, that it will be virtually impossible for the Vatican to receive a fair trial. Furthermore, just the image of a Vatican official in court itself, will be enough for the mainstream news media to put the final nails in the coffin of the US Catholic Church. In the public eye, all moral credibility of the pope, Vatican and US Catholic Church will be completely destroyed. Dissident bishops, priests and laity will increasingly see no need to follow the leadership of a seemingly defunct pope or an obsolete Catholic hierarchical system. All the conditions for schism will be ripe in 2011 and in that year the process will most likely begin. When it will be complete is up for debate. Just a note these pictures are of true events and the churches you see are sadly real I put them so you can see that even the architecture of the churches is hardly traditional to the naked eye you can barely tell they are churches and in no way even resemble a true Catholic Church

The time for straddling the fence is over. If you're a Catholic who wishes to remain faithful to the pope then it's time to get out of the progressive Catholic parishes NOW. Beware of any parish or priest that makes reference to the http://americancatholiccouncil.org American Catholic Council (or ACC). Beware of any parish or priest that makes reference to the language used in the ACC's agenda listed above. Find a relatively conservative, traditional and orthodox Catholic parish as quickly as possible and get your family involved there. Spread the word to your Catholic family and friends, notifying them of the impending schism and the players involved. Try to salvage as much of US Catholicism as you can, before it's too late. Finally, the only thing left to do is pray. Pray the rosary. PRAY HARD!

As Aways may God Bless You All And God Bless America! Please....I encourage your comments Thank You

Prayers And Novena To The Holy Spirit

Posted by Heather on June 5, 2011 at 7:04 PM Comments comments (0)

With Pentecost coming up next Sunday in which the Holy Spirit plays a prominent role I wanted to post this novena to share with members and those that visit our website

FIRST DAY

V. Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit, and they shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

LET US PRAY

O God, Who by the Light of the Holy Spirit, didst instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that in the same Spirit we may be truly wise, and ever rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Act of Contrition

"O God be merciful to me as sinner." I am sincerely sorry for all the sins, faults, and infidelities of my life because they offend thee, my chief Benefactor and sovereign Good. I firmly resolve by the grace of the Holy Spirit to sin no more. Amen.

Prayer of Humility

O God, Who resisteth the proud and bestoweth Thy grace on the humble, grant us the virtue of true humility of which Thine only begotten Son showed to the faithful an example in Himself; that we may never provoke Thee to anger by our pride, but rather receive through humility the gift of Thy grace. Through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Roman Missal)

Reflection

The Blessed Virgin Mary taught us how to respond to the inspiration of divine grace. When the Angel Gabriel announced to her: "The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee and the power of the most High shall overshadow thee, and therefore, also, the Holy, which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God" (1 Luke 1:35) Mary answered: "Be it done unto me according to Thy word" (2 Luke 1:36)

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

PfingstenO Divine Redeemer, Who said: "I will ask the Father, and He will grant you another Advocate to be with you for all time, the Spirit of Truth" (1 John 14:16) I consecrate myself to the eternal Spirit of God.
Aspiration of love, proceeding from the Father and the Son, alert me to be ever aware of Thy indwelling; stimulate the eyesight of my soul to discern the unfailing light of divine grace. Adorable Holy Spirit, have compassion on the dullness of my mind and the weakness of my will. Illuminate and strengthen me to trample on temptation.
Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom, the prevision to look to my last end by cooperating now with Thy holy inspirations - all for the greater honor and glory of God; the Spirit of Understanding to deepen my grasp of eternal truths; the Spirit of Counsel to prudently choose the best way of pleasing God; the Spirit of Fortitude to stand up fearlessly in opposition to evil; the Spirit of Knowledge - self-Inspection regarding my fidelity to God's laws and the duties of my state in life; the Spirit of Piety to enable me to prefer my Divine Lover and His Will to earthly creatures; the Spirit of Fear of the Lord to realize the folly and ingratitude of defying my Lord and my God.
Kneeling before Thee, O Divine Consoler, let me press to my heart the pierced feet of Jesus, look into His open side and trust in His Precious Blood channeled to my soul through the Sacraments.
O Holy Spirit enfold all mankind with Thy Sevenfold Gifts. Keep me faithful unto death that I may win the crown of life. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be, etc.

SECOND DAY

Prayer to the Holy Spirit; Act of Contrition; Prayer for Humility.

Reflection

"... Jesus being full of the Holy Spirit returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the desert for the space of forty days; and was tempted by the devil." (1 Luke 4:1,2) The loving solicitude of our Father in heaven assures us: "My grace is sufficient for thee." We are never tempted beyond our strength; on the contrary, God permits us to grow stronger by resisting temptation. "... for power is made perfect in infirmity" (St. Paul, Cor. 12:9) When tempted say: "My Jesus mercy!" (300 Days Indulgence) "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee." (300 days indulgence) "Mother of Mercy, pray for us." (300 days indulgence)

Act of Concecration

THIRD DAY

Prayer to the Holy Spirit; Act of Contrition; Prayer for Humility.

Reflection

To resist the first advances of temptation, recall to mind the warning of the Holy Spirit: "Know you not, that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? But if any man violate the temple of God, him shall God destroy. For the temple of God is holy, which you are." (1 Cor. 3:16) "In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." Praise, adoration, thanksgiving to the Holy Spirit of God for His sublime act of love manifested in the Incarnation of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Act of Consecration

FOURTH DAY

Prayer to the Holy Spirit; Act of Contrition; Prayer for Humility.

Reflection

"The Spirit of God made me and the breath of the Almighty gave me life." (Job 33:4) We owe every good thought and deed to His loving care. St. Paul teaches us that we are not capable of thinking, willing of doing anything profitable for salvation without a divine and supernatural influence. Often reflect that we are not "sufficient to think anything of ourselves, as ourselves; but our sufficiency if from God." (2 Cor. 3:5)

Act of Consecration.

FIFTH DAY

Prayer to the Holy Spirit; Act of Contrition; Prayer for Humility.

Reflection

Keep in mind that this same Holy Spirit knocks at the door of your heart. How will you respond? "Today if you hear His Voice harden not your hearts." Ponder well that the author of sanctifying grace, which renders you pleasing to God, is the Holy Spirit. In fact, He Himself is communicated to the soul in justification. "The Charity of God is poured forth in our souls by the Holy Spirit, Who is given to us." (Rom. 5:5) Praise, adoration and thanksgiving be to the Holy Spirit of God who sanctifies us to produce from His seven gifts the divine fruits of charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity, mildness, faith, modesty, continency, chastity.

Act of Consecration.

SIXTH DAY

Prayer to the Holy Spirit; Act of Contrition; Prayer for Humility.

Reflection

St. Paul teaches: "No man can say the Lord Jesus, but by the Holy Spirit." (1 Cor. 12:3) If you cannot even pronounce the Holy Name without the inspiration of the Spirit of love, how can we make any progress in the spiritual life without His constant aid? "He saved us by the laver of regeneration and renovation of the Holy Spirit." (Titus 3:5) What deep consolation our Saviour gave to his disciples shortly before ascending to heaven: "It is expedient to you that I go: for it I go not, the Paraclete will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you." (John 16:7) Praise, adoration and thanksgiving be to the Holy Spirit, who by descending upon the apostles and disciples created Pentecostal fires, vitalized the infallible Church, by whose teaching we learn eternal truths, by whose sacraments we receive grace to guide us to heaven.

Act of Consecration.

SEVENTH DAY

Prayer to the Holy Spirit; Act of Contrition; Prayer for Humility.

Reflection

Conviction comes from thinking; - beg the Holy Spirit to enlighten, fortify, and guide you. "Whosoever are led by the Spirit of God, they are the children of God." (Rom. 8:14) To reach our goal, we must clearly know our goal. This knowledge comes to us by humbly invoking the Holy Spirit to firmly believe what God has revealed and promised: "He that cometh to God, must believe that He is, and is a rewarder to them that seek Him." (Heb. 11:6) Praise, adoration and thanksgiving to the Holy Spirit for the priceless gift of faith bestowed on me in Baptism whereby He made me an adopted child of God, filled my soul with sanctifying grace and imparted to me the supernatural virtues of faith, hope and charity.

Act of Consecration.

EIGHTH DAY

Prayer to the Holy Spirit; Act of Contrition; Prayer for Humility.

Reflection

Even though blinded by pride; often depressed and confused by dark clouds of trial and suffering; or carried away by flashes of joy, be recollected and invoke the Holy Spirit of Divine Love to hear our prayer. "The Spirit breatheth where He will; and thou hearest His voice, but thou knowest not whence He cometh and wither He goeth." (John 3:8) "Be penitent, therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out." (Acts 3:19) "Create a clean heart in me, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Thy face; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit." (Ps. 12, 13, 14)

Act of Consecration.

NINTH DAY

Prayer to the Holy Spirit; Act of Contrition; Prayer for Humility.

Reflection

In His boundless love for me, the Holy Spirit has created me a rational creature and by Baptism He made me a child of God and give me a title to heaven. "The Spirit Himself giveth testimony to our spirit, that we are the children of God." (Rom 8:16) May we never lose sight of our sublime destiny and its corresponding obligations.
No matter how heavy our cross, the yoke becomes sweet, the burden light, the outlook happy and consoling if we appreciate the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. "The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but justice, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit." (Rom. 14:17) Sweet Mother of God, spouse of the Spirit of divine love, pray for me. Praise, adoration and thanksgiving to the Holy Spirit Who in the sacrament of confirmation imparted a character on my soul and made me a soldier of Jesus Christ.

Act of Consecration

Part 1 Demanding Excommunication For Bishops Breaking Catholic Canon Law

Posted by Heather on May 21, 2011 at 7:52 AM Comments comments (0)

The Other Day I was reviewing Catholic Canon Law and decided to post this op-ed below

In the Roman Catholic Church there are formal teachings which require adherence if one sincerely desires to enter into God's Kingdom. The pope and the bishops of the Church have primary responsibility for educating the faithful in these teachings, for setting example for them to follow, and for seeing to the proper admonishment and discipline of those in their charge. The following documents, based upon formal Church teachings and sound reasoning, set the pattern for true believers to follow in order to out-process nonbelieving bishops.

November 21, 1996

EXCOMMUNICATING CATHOLIC BISHOP

The magnitude of the capital crime of abortion is incomprehensible to the vast majority of people. For those who are sensitive to the issue, the heartache is that so many are involved in the crime. Integral with the heartache is the effective accommodation by religions who have strong doctrinal positions against abortion but allow the indifferentism of pastors. It is to be expected that humanists --those who are only interested in that which makes them personally and immediately happy-- would have little concern for the defenseless who they see as depriving them of happiness, liberty or wealth. It is little expected that those who profess belief in eternal life are often as bad or worse than the humanists.

While adherents of many religions profess that human life begins at the moment of conception, the doctrine of the Catholic Church is probably the clearest and most formal of all. Hence for Catholics and particularly for their most responsible spokesmen, the bishops, the crime of distancing themselves from the condemnatory sin of abortion is the greatest. Not only have teachings for Catholics been clear from the early centuries of the Church, as expressed in the Didache (1st Century A.D.) and the Epistle of Barnabas (2nd Century A.D.), but the successors of the office of Peter, known as popes, have without inconsistency declared the evil of abortion.

A 4th century statement by St. Basil the Great, an archbishop and "doctor" of the Catholic Church, clearly expresses the Catholic position on abortion, "A woman who deliberately destroys a fetus is answerable for murder. And any fine distinction as to its being formed or unformed is not admissible among us."

HUMAN SOUL at CONCEPTION - "DOCTRINE"

Catholic nay sayers -- concerning a defined doctrine of the existence of a spiritual human being at conception -- need only examine the dogma of The Immaculate Conception which definitively proclaims the existence of a human being from the moment of conception. Though not formally proclaimed as a dogma of faith until 1854, the doctrine is found implicitly in the beliefs of many throughout the history of the Church. The defined dogma of faith is as follows:

"...the doctrine which holds that the most Blessed Virgin Mary was preserved from all stain of original sin in the first instant of her Conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God, in consideration of the merits of Jesus Christ, savior of the human race, has been revealed by God and must, therefore, firmly and constantly be believed by all of the faithful.”

Why it took so long to make the belief definitive can perhaps be understood as the failure of many to accept the parallel between Mary and Eve, between Adam and Jesus. (Gen. 3:15 "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will strike at your head, while you strike at his heel.") The woman clearly refers to Eve, while your offspring and hers should clearly be seen as referring to Mary and her Son, Jesus (1Cor 15:22, 45). Of the four --Adam, Eve, Mary, and Jesus-- it does not seem plausible to hold that Mary would be the only one to come into existence in the state of sin, or, to hold that sinlessness (Jesus) could come out of sin (Mary). Evil is opposed to good. Mary was not in opposition to Jesus. Also, is not God capable of making an exception, from the norm, in favor of the woman who would be the mother of His Son?

For Catholics the existence of full human life from the moment of conception is not a matter of choice. The dogma of The Immaculate Conception is a binding doctrine of faith which concretely states that a new human person exists from the moment of each conception. (All human beings come spiritually into existence in the same manner as did Mary, though not free from original sin.)

With the clarity of Catholic teaching in regard to the evil of abortion and the requirement for protecting the defenseless (CCC §2269 1), it is of substantial concern that so many holding the office of bishop are morally guilty of indifferentism, minimalism and consequent omission.

SIN OF OMISSION

. . . "OMISSION, the nonperformance of some action; it is of concern to the moralist only when a person could and should do what he leaves undone. ...When there is an obligation to act, the failure to perform the required act can be due either to simple non-choice or to deliberate choice. ...It is due to deliberate choice when a person reaches an explicit decision to omit what he should do (St. Thomas Aquinas, ST 1a2ae, 71.5).

In all cases of voluntary omission, whether due to non-choice or deliberate choice, one is responsible for his failure to act, and the morality of the omission is determined in accord with the same norms that are applied to a positive choice to do something. If there is advertence to the obligation to do something, the omission of the performance of the act is equatable with a positive sinful choice, and the result is a grave or venial sin as the gravity of the obligation and the circumstances of the case demand." 2

Bishops, by virtue of office, have the gravest obligation to present the fullness of the teachings of the Catholic Church (Can. 386 3). In America, Catholics statistically have more abortions than any other religious or nonreligious group. Failure to actively preach against abortion, to actively oppose abortion and abortion proponents (political and otherwise), and abortion causing practices --the use of IUDs [a device which often causes several abortions each year of use], birth control pills which produce high numbers of chemically induced abortions, the various morning after pills and other pills and practices used to substitute for surgical abortion-- could account for 50 percent or more of all abortions by Catholics. Even if failure to actively teach accounted for only 1 to 10 percent of Catholic abortions, the crime would be grave.

Through lack of deed --omission of required teaching on the part of bishops and their failure to discipline clerics in their jurisdiction for failure to teach and set example-- not only are millions of innocent people losing their lives but large numbers, deprived of sound teaching, join the guilty and lose their souls. Due much to their omission, the prime commandment of God, to be fertile and multiply (Gn 1:28 and renewed in Gn 9:1), has become common mockery in the world.

Catholic bishops are also guilty of grave scandal by their failure to take direct positive action against the evils of abortion. Inaction (failure to teach, to discipline justly 4, and to guide by example) can only be seen by God as a grave sin of omission. Scandal also exists when bishops teach error or permit false teaching.

Can. 2326 Scandal is a grave offense when by deed or omission it deliberately leads others to sin.

AUTOMATIC EXCOMMUNICATION

. . . . In the Catholic Church some crimes call for automatic excommunication. The concept being brought out is that by omission --knowledgeable failure to believe, teach, and constructively practice the Word of God-- bishops directly participate in crimes of abortion. Bishops are deemed culpable as prescribed in the following canons.

Can. 1398 A person who actually procures an abortion incurs a latae sententiae 5 excommunication.

Can. 1329 §2 In the case of a latae sententiae penalty attached to an offense, accomplices, even though not mentioned in the law or precept, incur the same penalty if, without their assistance, the crime would not have been committed...

Whether some bishops are already excommunicated is of less importance than if, with presented knowledge, they will be under certain automatic excommunication by continued failure to effectively teach and set example. Time for reflection, on the long term consequences of persisting in their failure to instruct and act, is minimal when considered in proportion to the gravity of the sin of abortion.

By omission bishops, who have well defined strict obligations, have been of assistance to abortionists and other evil doers throughout the world. Once it is clear that a bishop fails to actively and regularly teach, personally and through priests in his diocese, against and otherwise oppose abortion in a manner corresponding to its gravity --making clear all methods included in the act of abortion and all consequences to abortion for the mother and all who willingly by act or omission cooperate in abortion-- it can then be understood that such bishop has failed in the duties of his office and has become morally culpable in the crime of abortion. A bishop's continued failure to act should be seen as direct complicity in murder by abortion. It should be understood that he is excommunicated, that his See (the diocesan office of bishop) is impeded (the bishop no longer has authority to teach or act in the name of the Church) and that his authority is transferred elsewhere. Anyone who knowingly fails to reject a deposed bishop's teaching authority is offensive to God.

It is the duty of every pastor to actively oppose abortion. There should be little doubt that, without sincere repentance, admission into Heaven will be denied to all directly or indirectly involved in the crime. Even for nonbelievers, abortion is at the very least a grave sin against nature.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Christian Modesty In Dressing

"Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that search his testimonies that seek him with their whole heart."- Ps 118

The other day my bestest friend Di and I were chatting and she brought it to my attention how awful women in particular are dressing to attend mass. It is getting to the extent it is breaking Catholic Canon Law. There are many different ways in which we can sin or cause others to sin such as: our words, actions, neglects and immorality; however, in this day and age the most frequent way we cause ourselves to sin is by our immorality by being immodestly dressed.

Sexual self-consciousness, shame and the covering up of the body follow the Fall in the Garden of Eden (Gn 2:25; 3:7; 3:10-11). The wisdom of biblical literature warns against the snares of feminine shamelessness (Prov.2:16;5:3; 7:5-27). In the New Testament modesty in looks, words and general behavior is inculcated (Matt. 5:28; Eph. 5:3-20; 2 Peter 2:14). General sexual modesty - "a gentle and quiet spirit" - should characterize the Christian woman (1 Tim. 2:9-12; 1 Peter 3:1-6)

Saint Thomas treated modesty (pudicitia) as a part of chastity, not a distinct virtue from it. All kinds of things could be and were considered in St. Thomas' context - words, looks, touches, embraces, kisses, fantasies, the nude in art, dress, reading, bathing, dancing, theatrical shows in recent times, movies and television shows (Before Vatican II, each year we had to stand up in Church and Make a vow to God not to go to indecent movies which consisted of anything that was on the Banned List at the back of the Church which would now be ratings such as PG, R, X, XX, XXX. Are these vows being made in any Church now?) We now have the sick evil possessed and depraved Lady Ga Ga openly engaging in blasphemy before God consorting with satan in her music videos, to make it worse she has a group of Benedictine Nuns under contract to her music label. How depraved is that?

There is a saying that in proportion to the amount of flesh mortal sin seems to increase. This being the case, one would assume that at least our Catholic women and girls would have the good sense to ALWAYS wear clothes that tend to conceal, rather than reveal or call attention to the body. This moral dress code should be Universal, just as our Church is Universal or Catholic. There should be no excuse for moral dress codes being different just because a person lives in a different country; either a person is dressed decently or he is not! True Roman Catholics should wear decent clothes that would show they are conscious to the fact their bodies are "temples of the Holy Spirit".

Women often deny that their semi-nude attire is the source of numerous and serious temptations to the opposite sex. Some reject any responsibility for leading others into sin. Others try to cover their own guilt by such statements as: "He must have a dirty mind. Scanty attire in men doesn't affect me at all. Why should men be tempted by the scanty attire of women?" When a woman is dressed immodestly, she becomes the temptress for men. Remember Our Lord's words to men who fall prey to such allurements: "Whoever shall look on a woman to lust after her hath already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matt. 5:2 Indirectly, immodest woman are included in this indictment, being cooperators with the sins of men. God has made woman beautiful and attractive to men so as to fit with His plan for procreation in lawful wedlock. As a result of Original sin, mankind must constantly struggle to regulate this attraction. Unless both men and women fortify themselves by prayer, sin quickly enters their immortal souls.

Many women will say they wear the modern fashions because they are more comfortable, and the weather is hot (Remember, it is very hot in Hell...kidding I believe hell is a denial of the beatific Glory and Vision of God♥. This brings us to the area of sports. Regrettably, all too many sports are taboo for us Catholics, not that they are in themselves a sin or a near occasion of sin, but because of the skimpy attire that such sports "require". Think of these sports and the clothes people usually wear when playing the following sports or activities: swimming, baton twirling, tennis, basketball, dancing (disco dancing and little girls who take dancing lessons) and gymnastics. Let us take swimming for an example, since people usually wear less clothes when swimming than any other sport. Swimsuits have no sleeves, have very low necklines, no coverings for the legs and usually has the whole back exposed. When we think of the saying, "in proportion to the amount of flesh exposed mortal sin seems to increase", shouldn't we avoid the bathing suits like the plaque? Do you think this suggestion is crazy? You say yes, then let us ask another question. Do you prefer to have the mortal sin of immodesty on your soul and the untold number of mortal sins of your being a temptress or tempter and causing others to sin? Catholic Megyn Kelly of Fox News posed for CQ in scantily clad lingerie for no other reasons than her own vanity and to tempt men...is she that insecure about her looks she needs to resort to that?

One might say that our little girls can't do anything. You are wrong, because, if you modify the costumes and attire that the girls wear, in most cases they can still participate if you are Catholic enough to stand up for the proper moral dress code. In addition to the modifications, our girls can go bicycle riding and horse back riding if they have a full skirt and the skirt reaches at least to the middle of the calf; and, of course, skating can be done in a skirt. Our girls should be pursuing lady-like activities and hobbies which will prepare them for marriage and their proper role as mother and wife. They should be learning to sew, embroider, knit, crochet, cook, make rosaries, sing good Catholic songs and other decent, patriotic songs, play musical instruments (we'll need an organ player eventually for our chapel), paint and draw. Above all they should be learning to talk, dress, sit, walk, stand, kneel, stoop and act like a lady at all times. Our girls have many options open to them, if they will only pursue them in a moral decent manner.

Our Sorrowful and Immaculate and Ever Virgin Blessed Mother, whom God has presented to us as the Perfect Model of Modesty and Purity, is being terribly saddened by the immodest and the impure. However, it has not all happened by accident, satan has a hand in it. As he has done with such evil movements as Feemasonry, illuminati Atheistic Communism, Socialism, Modernism and Liberalism, (bear in mind we have evil president obummer supporting the aforementioned... which is why I call obummer the agent of satan.... so also has he planned out a program of gradual, not sudden, destruction of the sense of modesty and purity. A mere look at the past 50 years or more shows us very plainly how gradually it was all done, first by apparently innocent abbreviations of garments and by slight revelations of bare flesh and by subtle little displays of the figure, and then, as protests died down, by more and more abbreviations and displays until the crude immodesty of our day became a shocking reality.

Many living today have seen it all happen before their very eyes. They have lived through it and, if they have managed to retain their God-given moral sense, they find the barbarian immodesty of this day intolerable and they look upon it as a sin crying to Heaven for the vengeance that must inevitably come if sinners continue to refuse to amend their ways.

Several Popes have spoken out with authority on the subject of modesty. Pope Benedict XV (1914-1922) and his two successors, Popes Pius XI and Pius XII, have promoted modesty in dress. These are a few words of Pope Benedict XV: "One cannot sufficiently deplore the blindess of so many women of every age and station. Made foolish by a desire to please, they do not see to what degree the indecency of their clothing shocks every honest man and offends God. Most of them would formerly have blushed for such apparel as for a grave fault aginst Christian modesty. Now it does not suffice to exhibit themselves on public thoroughfares; they do not fear to cross the threshold of churches, to assist at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and even to bear the seducing food of shameful passions to the Holy Altar, where one receives the Heavenly Author of Purity."

It is necessary for us to promote standards of attire for Catholic women and girls, standards such as Pope Pius XI had in mind when he said: "A dress cannot be decent which is cut deeper than two fingers breath under the pit of the throat; which does not cover the arms at least to the elbows; and scarecely reaches a bit beyond the knees. Furthermore, dresses of transparent materials are improper." Ladies, men, girls and boys should always wear underwear and no beige material (it leaves the impression at a distance of having no clothes). If a skirt is snug, it should reach well below the knees; no shorts, no bathing suits, and no pants (for females).

Christ's words are very clear. His teachings about wearing about wearing apparel leave no doubt as to what He meant ("A woman shall not be clothed with man's apparel neither shall a man use woman's apparel: for he that doeth these things is abominable before God.") If Christ said that the sexes should not wear each others clothes and they understood Him, it stands to reason that there was a distinct difference in the men and women's clothes. If the people of Jeus' day could tell a distinction in the clothes, how much more so can we tell a distinction in the pants and dresses of the men and women of today? Many people lament the terrible state of immorality that is prevalent in our society, wondering what can be done about it. Among other things such as praying the rosary daily and reading the Holy Bible and the lives of the saints we can promote modesty by burning bathing suits and shorts and converting pants into decent skirts. Let us always keep in mind that the ultimate success is gaining heaven and nothing else really matters.

We are all born with a fallen nature and, consequently, we must keep our bodies covered in order to avoid the dangers of concupiscence. This fact, a result of original sin, is deliberately ignored each time that naturalism attempts to insinuate itself into our Christian customs. Then it is that the purpose of clothing is lost sight of, and instead of being an invitation to virtue, it becomes an incitement to sin. The Church, like a vigilant Mother, full of tender care for the holiness and eternal salvation of Her children, has often been obliged to warn the faithful so that they might avoid the errors of fashion, and to take the measures necessary to ensure that the holy places and sacred things should not be profaned by immodesty in dress.

Unfortunately, we are living in times that have lost the sense of sin and, as a result, we see around us an eruption of styles of dress which are, in every way, contrary to Christian modesty. Christian people must not allow themselves to be carried along by the spirit of the world but must firmly resist such deviations... Jacinta Marto, one of the little seers of Fatima, although she was only eleven years old at the time, had a wisdom taught her by the Mother of God.

She merits, therefore, our attention. Here is what she said with regard to styles of dress: "Fashions will arise which will greatly offend God." When we consider the fashions of our day, we are led to conclude that the times foretold by the little seer have arrived. Indeed, the styles of dress of the women and girls of today such as: very tight clothing; dressing like men, including slacks and tights; low necklines; skirts with hemlines or slits which do not cover the leg below the knee, are absolutely contrary to the norms of Christian modesty. For this reason, in order to conform to the recommendations of the Holy See, and in particular to the instructions of the Sacred Congregation of the Council, we urge our faithful people to refrain from following such ways of dressing.

"Those who keep the Law of God", Jacinta said, "should not follow fashions". Our priests must try to apply the instructions of the Sacred Congregation of the Council, without violence or rudeness, but with firmness. They must not let persons, dressed in the styles described above, receive the Sacraments and, as far as possible, must not allow them access to the Temple of God. Furthermore, they must frequently remind the faithful of these regulations. Also, when couples present themselves for marriage preparation, the priests must tell them to inform their wedding guests of the rules for dress in church. People dressed in these unacceptable ways must not be accepted as witnesses to the marriage and, after due warning, they must not be admitted to Holy Communion.

It is highly recommended that these prescriptions be posted at the entrance to the church.

-Bishop Antonio de Castro-Mayer-

Modesty Standards

Padre Pio

The saintly stigmatized Padre Pio was always a merciless enemy of feminine vanity: he never tolerated low-necked dresses, short and or tight fitting

skirts, and forbade his spiritual children to wear transparent stockings. In the last few years of his life, his severity increased enormously, as

fashions became more and more immodest.

He unrelentingly dismissed from his confessional, before they could step inside, all women he judged to be incorrectly dressed. By 1967, on some

mornings, he turned them away one after another, until he ended up confessing very few. His brethren noticed this with a certain unease, then

decided to post on the door of the church a warning: "By Padre Pio's explicit wish, women must enter the confessional wearing skirts AT LEAST 8

INCHES BELOW THE KNEE. It is forbidden to borrow longer dresses in church and to wear them to confession."

The beginning of the struggle with no concessions whatsoever coincided more or less with the advent of the mini-skirt, launched by the English girl Mary

Quant. It had not yet reached Italy as Padre Pio was thundering against short skirts. As fashion houses announced: "Eight inches above the knee", Padre Pio warned: "Eight inches below the knee". May God Bless His Soul!!! Now That is a Priest that should be a role model for ALL Catholic Priests! We need more priests like Padre Pio

Our Lady said to Sister Lucy at Fatima: "There will be fashions which will greatly offend My Divine Son". Today's fashions prove Our Lady's words true, for these fashions are occasions of sin, occasions, alas, of serious sin, by reason of the sinful thoughts and desires which they provoke. In the Gospel, Our Lord warned us about such evil desires: "But I say to you, that whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Mt.5:2. In the life of Saint Frances of Rome, we read of a vision of Hell which was granted her, and which lasted for four hours. God willed to show her, in the fires of Hell, certain ladies whom she had known in Roman society. For what sins had these souls been damned? They had been damned: for guilty desires, even though these had not been put into act. for indecent styles of dress, which were the fashion of the day, and which had been a cause of seduction and of sin, for dances, considered inoffensive by the world. This vision of Hell so marked Saint Frances of Rome, that she had it painted on the murals of her chapel, as a constant reminder of the judgments of God. God then gave her the mission of drawing the Roman ladies out of their luxury and their vanity.

In Holy Communion, Our Lord takes possession of our whole being, so that the soul becomes subject to Him in humility, and the body in modesty and restraint. From which it follows that a person who goes to Communion must be different, even exteriorly, from one who does not. Modesty in a woman is the sign that Jesus Christ dwells in her heart. It is a sweet perfume of edification which she is called upon to diffuse.

Modesty in dress and behavior is, therefore, an indispensable way of making us more attentive to the obligations which we contracted at our Baptism. It is a consequence of that dogma of Faith which tells us that the baptized soul is the dwelling of the Blessed Trinity and that the body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost. Saint Paul, infallibly inspired by God, tells us: "Know you not that your members are the temple of the Holy Ghost, Who is in you, Whom you have from God, and you are not your own?... Glorify and bear God in your body". (1 Cor.6:19-20).

Today's fashions, on the contrary, dishonor and corrupt the Christian woman. Their aim is to seduce and to arouse concupiscence, to the detriment of the soul's spiritual beauty, which is the true goal of our lives. All of this is a strategic Masonic maneuver. The destruction of Christian society, for which the Lodges have been working for two centuries, is to be realized through the destruction of the virtue of modesty in those who are baptized. This corruption, which has been deliberately and carefully programmed, is being systematically brought about.

It is, therefore, always necessary to remember the indispensable rules of Christian modesty, rules which are not to be practiced only in church! Let us, then, look at these rules, first in general, and then, in particular, with regard to assistance at Mass.

IN GENERAL, clothes should hide the shape of the body rather than accentuate it. Only this kind of clothing can truly be called "decent". This rule automatically excludes slacks (which are masculine apparel) for women. Feminine apparel is a skirt or a dress which must cover the woman's knees when she is seated. Decency in dress is to be observed, not only at Mass on Sundays, but every day of the week. The deciding factor is not whether slacks or culottes are more comfortable than a skirt, but rather to do the Will of God, by "loving Him in all things and above all things" (Collect of the 6th Sunday after Pentecost).

IN PARTICULAR, when attending Mass, we must be still more careful about how we dress. For instance, women must cover their heads: "Every woman praying ...with her head not covered, disgraces her head" (1 Cor.11:5). This rule has been the constant teaching of the Popes, and Pope St. Pius X had it included in the Code of Canon Law (Canon 1262). It is a sign of humility and submission for a woman to cover her head, and draws down God's graces and blessings upon her. Now is it an indifferent matter, just as no exterior act is an indifferent matter, for it proceeds from our very person and reveals what kind of person we are.

"The evil of our day is this: that the line of demarcation between Christian and non-Christian, between Christian and heretic, between Christian and idolater, is gradually fading away. The cancer of Liberalism attacks everyone and we must be careful not to be infected ourselves. Those who still call themselves Catholic live, too often, like those who have renounced this title. Women who go to church dress just the way women who do not go to church dress; they read the same books and magazines as these women; they go to the same, often immoral, shows as these women; they no longer pray or do penance. It is a confusion of license and worldliness. As a result of these customs, the Church is beginning to disappear in the world.

Christianity is being lost. Only rarely does one find Catholics to whom the following words of Saint Paul can apply: "...be blameless and sincere children of God, without reproof, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation; among whom you shine as lights in the world". (Phil.2:15). The early Christians stood out among the pagans like shining torches in the dark, and the example of their courage and their virtue attracted the pagans strongly to the Faith. This is something which we do not see today, except in rare cases. Everything is a mish-mash of unrestraint."

In closing... we must mention here the important role of Christian mothers in teaching their children, their daughters especially, and from the time that they are very little, a true sense of Christian modesty. "Men are lost through women and they are saved through women", a preacher said one day. "By their vanity, they will make a man fall; by their modesty, they will save him. The world of morality oscillates between Eve and Mary. As long as modesty is not practiced, the world will not rise from its decadence." May devotion to the Holy Family help us in our Crusade for Purity!

I thank you for your time, as always may God Blessed You And Family Each And Every One And God Bless America,

Sincerely, Yours In Christ Jesus

A Word About The Holy Rosary

Posted by Heather on May 5, 2011 at 2:05 AM Comments comments (1)

I would like to discuss the Holy Rosary♥ and its significance and importance to the Catholic Faith. First, allow me to say that in all Our Ever Virgin Blessed Holy Mother's appearances in Fatima she always said to pray the Holy Rosary. Now I have encountered many Evangelicals, Protestants, Methodists etc that say why are we praying to Mary? Its wrong they say. Then go on to give a litany of reasons why we should not pray directly to Mary.♥

The fact is we do not pray to Our Ever Virgin Blessed Mother,♥ we pray through her, that is to say as a Mediatrix or intercessor for Jesus♥ and in fact praying to Our Ever Virgin Blessed Mother♥ is praying  to Jesus.♥  Let me say to those skeptics that refuse to believe in Our Ever Virgin Blessed Holy Mother♥ as Mediatrix how do they explain the the Miracles of Fatima, /The Miracle of the Sun which is recorded natural fact in world history? Certainly that did not and could not happen without the full authority of God The Father Jesus God The Son And The Holy Spirit.  How  do they explain the Miracle of Guadalupe? She appeared to Juan Diego  with a request that he go to the local Archbishop that a Catholic Church be built. Here we need to pause and reflect upon the greatness of this act, a Catholic Church, the actual Bride of Christ,♥ can anyone say that this appearance, request and miracle was not without the Divine cooperation of God the Father,♥ His Only Begotten Son Our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ♥ and The Holy Spirit?♥ I say this so people can understand that Praying to Our Ever Virgin Holy Blessed Mother is praying to Jesus, even in the mysteries of the Rosary it is Jesus♥ centered not focused on Our Ever Virgin Blessed Holy Mother But Jesus.♥

Throughout history many miracles have been attributed to praying the Holy Rosary as well as Miracles attributed to Our Ever Virgin Blessed Holy Mother.♥ Our Lady blesses not only those who preach her Rosary, but she highly rewards all those who get others to say it by their example.

Alphonsus, King of Leon and Galicia, very much wanted all his servants to honor the Blessed Virgin by saying the Rosary. So he used to hang a large rosary on his belt and always wore it, but unfortunately never said it himself. Nevertheless his wearing it encouraged his courtiers to say the Rosary very devoutly.

One day the King fell seriously ill and when he was given up for dead he found himself, in a vision, before the judgment seat of Our Lord. Many devils were there accusing him of all the sins he had committed and Our Lord as Sovereign Judge was just about to condemn him to hell when Our Lady appeared to intercede for him. She called for a pair of scales and had his sins placed in one of the balances whereas she put the rosary that he had always worn on the other scale, together with all the Rosaries that had been said because of his example. It was found that the Rosaries weighed more than his sins.

Looking at him with great kindness Our Lady said: "As a reward for this little honor that you paid me in wearing my Rosary, I have obtained a great grace for you from my Son. Your life will be spared for a few more years. See that you spend these years wisely, and do penance."

When the King regained consciousness he cried out: "Blessed be the Rosary of the Most Holy Virgin Mary,♥ by which I have been delivered from eternal damnation!"

After he had recovered his health he spent the rest of his life in spreading devotion to the Holy Rosary♥ and said it faithfully every day.

People who love the Blessed Virgin out to follow the example of King Alphonsus and that of the saints whom I have mentioned so that they too may win other souls for the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary. They will then receive great graces on earth and eternal life later on. "They that explain me shall have life everlasting life." Ecclus. 24:31

That is just one well known example that Our Ever Virgin Blessed Holy Mother♥ can intercede on our behalf as Mediatrix to Jesus for mercy and pardon of our sins, I believe this and stand by it and well defend her against all adversaries that are contrary to Her, I further implore for all Catholics to daily pray the Holy Rosary, as a matter of fact seven times a week working up to seven times a day. Do not fear praying to Our Ever Virgin Blessed Holy Mother, she loves us as Jesus loves us and wants to help and guide us to her Beloved Son Jesus.

As you can see up top left I enclosed a photo as to how beginners can pray the Holy Rosary, please note the Holy Rosary should be Blessed by an ordained priest and that the Holy Rosary if worn is not a fashion statement! It is a tool to pray with and shall be treated with extreme reverence  and respect.. Also it should have not a cross at the beginning but a Crucifix with Jesus on the cross, not just a cross.

Praying the rosary can be summarized as follows:

Opening Prayers

- Make the "Sign of the Cross" and say the "Apostle's Creed".

- Say one "Our Father".

- Say three "Hail Mary" prayers (for an increase in faith, hope, and charity).

- Say the "Glory Be".

Combined Prayer & Meditation

- Announce the first mystery for the current day.

- Say one "Our Father".

- Say ten "Hail Mary" prayers while meditating on the first rosary mystery.

- Say one "Glory Be".

- Say the "Fatima Prayer" (optional but recommended).

- Repeat this sequence for remaining mysteries.

Concluding Prayers

- Say one "Hail, Holy Queen".

- Finish with the "Sign of the Cross".

Optional prayers

- After each "Glory Be" it has become tradition to recite the "Fatima Prayer".

- Include the "Let Us Pray", "Memorare", and/or "Prayer to St. Michael" at the end of the rosary.

- Most Catholics pray an "Our Father", "Hail Mary", and "Glory Be" for the Pope to Shepherd his flock wisely.

The rosary is a form of combined prayer and meditation that has been around for over 1200 years. The origin of the rosary dates back to the ninth century where Irish monks would recite and chant the 150 Psalms of the Bible as a major part of their worship. People living near the monasteries were drawn towards this beautiful and harmonious devotion, and they became very eager to join in with the monks' prayers.

The 150 Psalms of the Bible

Book Of Psalms

Unfortunately, the people were not able to adapt to this form of prayer because the psalms were very hard to memorize and printed copies of the psalms were not readily available. As a result, it was suggested to the people outside the monastery that they recite a series of 150 "Our Father" prayers in place of the psalms.

As this form of devotion became increasingly popular, people started to devise methods in order to keep track of their prayers. At first, 150 little pebbles were placed inside small leather pouches to keep count. Since this method was rather troublesome, a thin rope having 50 knots on it was used instead (it was used three times for a total of 150 prayers). Eventually, the instrument of choice became the use of string with small pieces of wood.

In later years, the Irish monks traveled throughout Europe and brought this form of devotion with them. In some areas, both clergy and lay people began to recite the "Angelic Salutation" (the first part of what we now know as the "Hail Mary") as part of this devotion. The popularity of this prayer led to the adoption of 50 Angelic Salutations being said for each piece of wood or knot on the prayer string.

During the 13th century, Medieval theologians began to interpret the 150 psalms as veiled mysteries about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They began to write a series of Psalters, or praises, in honor of Jesus for each interpretation of the psalms. In addition, 150 Psalters honoring Mary were also composed. In order to fit the existing prayer string, these Psalters were divided into groups of 50 and were referred to as "Rosariums". Although "rosarium" refers to roses and rose gardens, it was used to signify a collection of prayers which could be compared to a bouquet of roses.

So there is a brief primer on Our Ever Virgin Blessed Holy Mother And The Holy Rosary, please bear is mind that you need not be Catholic to pray it but all Catholics should pray the Holy Rosary! But please pray with reverence and respect

As we see today, the rose is a very popular symbol associated with our Blessed Mother Mary and it is a sign that she often uses as she did in the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

The interpretation of the psalms into written Psalters lead to the implementation of special thoughts or meditations being attached to each bead. This innovated version of the rosary was widely spread by Blessed Alan de la Roche of the Dominican Order, as it revived the divinely inspired works that St. Dominic and his Rosary Confraternity had initiated some hundred years earlier. The prayers of the Rosarium were later broken out into sets of 10 and these groupings became known as decades. Each decade of ten "Hail Mary" prayers would be preceded by one "Our Father".

Around the year 1700, the thoughts used in the rosary started to become narratives. St. Louis de Montfort composed the most common set of narratives that eventually became used as meditations for each decade of the rosary. These narratives were divided into five Joyful, five Sorrowful, and five Glorious meditations that are referred to as "mysteries" and while praying please reflect upon each one. May God Bless You All!♥

Sincerely

Truly Understanding Our Rich Catholic Faith

Posted by Heather on May 4, 2011 at 10:05 AM Comments comments (1)

Op-Ed By Heather

The Purpose of my Blog Catechises today is twofold, first its to lay the foundation of our Catholic Faith and Creed, second to direct our attention specifically one of the Catholic Churches central characteristics.

This blog will focus on unfolding the meaning of what we say about the Catholic Church every time we recite the Nicene Creed. We proclaim ourselves to be a people who believe in "the one Holy Catholic Apostolic Church". These characteristics are are traditions are what are referred to as "Marks of the Church" The Church is one, she is Holy, She is Catholic and most importantly The Bride of Christ.

We state emphatically that we believe in the church. So to begin let us open our reflections by giving some attention to what it means to believe in the Holy Catholic Church. First as regards our Profession of Faith, we need to make some important distinctions, these distinctions are found clearly in the official Latin version of the creed, but they sadly not reflected in the English translation.

They are important distinctions and we need to be aware of them. Long ago Saint Augustine pointed out three different ways in Latin by which one can express belief in God. One can say "Credo Deo" which means I believe in something on the sole basis of God's authority, or one can say "Credo  Deum" which translates as I believe God exists. Neither of those above formulations occurs in the English version of the Creed. Neither Credo Deo or Credo Deum.

The Latin version of the Nicene Creed says Credo In Deum which literally means I believe into God or I believe towards God. What is expressed here is something alive, dynamic if you will. It expresses movement towards God. Certainly we as faithful catholics believe God exists, and of course we accept the truths of revelations on the basis of the authority of God who will never deceive us. The catholic Faith is more than that, Credo in Deum...the act of faith is the complete surrender of one's entire life into the hands of God, I ask all readers please make mental note of that in your mind and in your heart.  When a catholic states "I believe in God" he or she is saying I give my life over to God without qualification, reservation and condition. It is nothing less than complete total surrender, freely and lovingly given in response to God's loving initiative and intervention in history and in our personal lives.

Sadly these distinctions are not captured in the English translation but are extremely important to know and to understand. This Act of Faith, this Credo In Deum is reserved to God alone. God alone is the goal of this faith. We do not reserve this Profession of Faith to anything that is not God, not even to His works. Among the works of God is the Holy Catholic Church and while we do say we believe in that, so what in fact do we mean? Once again English is the challenge, in our language we do say "We believe in the church" but the Latin does not, it does not say "Credo in Ecclesiam, that particular grammatical usage is reserved for God only...for the above reasons stated. What the Latin version is "Credo Ecclesiam" or more fully "Credo Ecclesiam Unam Sanctam Catholicam Et Apostolicam" its translation is rendered as "We profess the one holy, Catholic Apostolic Church".

Credo Ecclesiam means we accept and profess that the Holy Catholic Church is the work of God, that it part of God's saving plan for the world. God intends the church and has created it by the missions of of His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in history. Sadly many catholics today will assert a separation between their belief in God and their participation in the life of the church.

"I believe in Jesus but I don't see what being part of the church has to do with that" they will say. This false belief of a separation between Faith in God and acceptance of the Holy Catholic Church is inconsistent with Catholic belief as we profess it in our Nicene Creed. We believe in God, we surrender our entire lives to God and God alone and because of that we accept everything God has revealed. All that is part of His saving purpose including The Holy Catholic Church. Credo in Deum leads to Credo Ecclesiam. Now to deepen our understanding of this let me point out a passage from Saint Paul's Letter to the Ephesians...1: 3-10

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has Blessed us in the Heavenly realms with every spiritual Blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of His Glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s Grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ."

In that passage Saint Paul is speaking with great wonder and joy about the plan of God for the world.  God does have an intention for the world, a purpose so important that for its accomplishment God sent His only Begotten Son Our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

You may be wondering what is that plan?  Paul says God chose to reveal it. The best I a humble servant of the Lord can explain it is simply as follows, it is to gather up, to bring together all things under Our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ. God's plan is communion...all things united under Jesus Christ.

Let us explore this for a minute, first you have to reflect about being created in the Image and Likeness of God, then, reflect on the Mystery of the Fall, the Original Sin of Adam and Eve, this is the necessary background of understanding God' Holy Plan. In Genesis, it teaches us God made man in His Image and Likeness, it means God fashioned us for relationship with Him. By that I mean that were were created not only that God can address us in that we can listen and respond, but also most wonderously that God can pledge Himself to us and we can offer our lives to Him in return. God is love and most importantly sovereignly free.

Created in His Image and Likeness we are made for love and we were given at creation the gift of freedom or free will, so that our loving response to God would be true. God is also Communion, we now know in the light of revelation God is Three Persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit. To be created in His Image and likeness then is to be created for communion, male and female He made them. Now consider the fall Adam and Eve's trust in God was allowed to die. They abused their freedom and disobeyed the command of God.

In consequence their unity with God and their communion with each other were shattered. They hid from God and hid their nakedness before one another. What this teaches is that when separated from its comon source of origin, namely God  humanity itself becomes divided. The bond of unity is love. As long as Adam and Eve loved and had trusting obedience to God, they were united to one another. Love unites, sin separates or more precisely   Love unites us to God and sin separates us from God.

These creation passages help us to gain some insight into God's plan for salvation or what it means to be saved by God. Salvation then is the definitive and lasting recovery of lasting unity with God.  We accomplish this by prayer, especially The Holy Rosary denial of pleasure, regular confession and regular receiving of Holy Communion, we must succeed where Adam and Eve failed. How do we accomplish that? The way is easily explained, since Jesus is perfection we must strive to perfection and that perfection is Jesus Christ. Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jesus is the definitive   Communion to reunite us with God The Father!  Let us travel that path together Amen

God Bless All my Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus

Man with paralysed leg walks 1,000 miles after visit to Lourdes

I recently came across this article that moved me to tears of joy and I know it will for all those that love and pray to Our Ever Virgin Blessed Mother Mary♥ as intecessor and Mediatrix to Jesus♥ and revere and believe in the Miracles of Fatima, I want to share this.

A man with a paralysed left leg has completed a 1,000-mile hike to Santiago de Compostela after being cured at Lourdes, it has been reported.

Television repair man Serge François, 40, said he felt a warm glow spread down his herniated leg during a visit to Lourdes in 2002.

He said he had been praying at the grotto where Bernadette Soubirous first had visions of the Virgin Mary in 1858, and all of his suffering suddenly disappeared.

After regaining the use of his leg, Mr François walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela (the Way of St James), the pilgrimage route spanning France and Spain.

Mr François, from La Salle-et-Chapelle-Aubry in Maine, western France, reported what happened to the International Medical Committee of Lourdes and 20 doctors have now concluded that it was indeed “remarkable”.

Bishop Emmanuel Delmas of Angers said: “In the name of the Church, I publicly recognise the ‘remarkable’ character of the healing from which Serge François benefited at Lourdes on April 12, 2002. This healing can be considered a personal gift from God to man, as an event of grace, as a sign of Christ the Saviour.”

Bishop Delmas said the bureau of medical experts at Lourdes had concluded that the recovery was “sudden, complete, unrelated to any particular therapy and durable”.

The healing could be considered “as a personal gift of God for this man, as an event of grace, as a sign of Christ the Saviour”, he said, avoiding the word “miracle”.

More than 7,000 cases of unexplained healings have been recorded in Lourdes, but only 67 have been recognised as miraculous by the Church. The healing of Mr François may be the 68th.

All I can add is All Glory Honor And Praise Be To God♥ Amen!
